“ There once lived a vain and Greedy King who insisted that his crown be the biggest, most glorious crown in all the world.

So he sent his men off to surrounding kingdoms at night to steal all the gold they could carry and bring it back to the palace so it could be melted down on to his large and ornate crown. For years the king ordered his men “ More Gold! I must have more gold to melt onto my crown!” and he commanded his men again and again to go out at night to surrounding kingdoms to steal more Gold. After some time, the kings crown grew very large but also very heavy. He only removed it so more gold could be melted onto it, otherwise he wore it constantly. Even though the weight of the crown became terribly painful and caused his neck to bend crooked, he refused to take off his crown, exclaiming “I want everyone passing by to see and behold my most magnificent crown in all the world”!

One day the weight of the crown became too much and snapped his neck killing the Greedy King. All the gold was returned to the surrounding kingdoms and people could have their own gold again and live without fear but with respect for their fellow countrymen again.”
